Pan Paradise is South Florida"s premier steel drum and Reggae band. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Pan Paradise steel drum band is highly sought after all over the world. We performed in the Florida Keys, Miami, Kendall, Naples, West Palm Beach, Orlando and all of Florida since 2001. The steel drum band have performed in Catagena, Colombia for the annual New Years Eve Celebration. The steel drum band have appeared on several live TV broadcast such as Telemundo TV program "Levantate", Univision TV program Sabado Gigante, PBS Documentary on Pan Paradise and the making of Steel Drums, The Global Network with Brazilian music sensation New York and many other places in the US. Our fun and friendly steel drum band will take you and your guest on a trip to the Caribbean in your very own backyard.
He wittingly directed teenagers with no prior experience to the enviable position of two-time State Champions, they went on to compete internationally for the Church of God Teen Talent competition in which they won the steel drum competition in San Antonio, Texas Alamo Dome and at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis.
He is a valued and prominent community leader, who has used his musical ingenuity to instruct young people in music at the Upper Room Christian Academy and Davie Elementary. Additionally, he vigorously volunteers his time and resources in teaching the youth at the Fourth Avenue International Worship Center, the creative art of playing music on the steel pan instruments.
Due to the demand of Steel Pan Music and his love for playing pan, Dexter has established the Reggae/Calypso Steel Drum Band, Pan Paradise. The music of his well sought after band is being requested from Key West to Miami and all over the state of Florida. Pan Paradise steel drum band has played over 200 in event in 2011. We have played for weddings, church events, corporate functions, cocktail parties, backyard luau and beach parties.
In addition to Reggae, Pan Paradise plays Calypso, Soca, Latin, Jazz, the sounds of Jimmy Buffet and the legendary Bob Marley. This widely acclaimed band provides quality music and lively entertainment!
Pan Paradise owes its success to the phenomenal music mastermind, Dexter Browne, who grew up hearing the steel drum being played in the pan yards in Trinidad and Tobago. A savvy and dynamic entertainer, his zest for entertaining began 30 years ago, when he captivated church gatherings with his musical talent and lively performances. Dexter is a renowned artiste whose musical aptitude resonates through his steel drums to appeal to and delight his audiences.
Dexter has several attractive credits to his name. He has arranged and directed music for several elementary and high school students in the South Florida region.
